After attending the 2012 International Roofing Expo, John Bennett, owner of Excellent Roofing returned to Memphis and met with Norman Brown, III, owner of the E-Plex landfill in Collierville, TN. John Bennett shared with him about a company he met at the International Roofing Expo that would come to his location and grind up the shingles, and split the profits with him when the mix was sold to asphalt companies. So from that point on, Norman re-directed all roofers to another location on the landfill property and started creating a mountain of shingles. He nearly has all the green lights from the State of TN to officially be the first shingle recycling center in the Memphis Mid-South area. So all of the shingles that are removed from homeowners roofs and taken to E-Plex in Collierville, will be recycled and put into asphalt mix and put back into the roads we drive on. Enjoy a few photos of Mt. Shingle, at E-Plex in Collierville, TN.
